This Fun Run is a parent – led Grade 2 fundraising initiative in partnership with Parent Council for the Christmas-gift giving project benefiting our EGSIS and LAI staff. Additionally, it seeks to offer financial assistance to one of our LAI employees who is bravely battling cancer. The event continues last year’s Christmas basket gift-giving, which supported all EGSiS personnel, as well as several LAI teachers and staff.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

• Raise funds. We aim to raise funds for our gift giving project for our EGSIS personnel (classroom aides, janitors, security guards, and maintenance staff), LAI staff and offering financial support to an LAI employee going through a challenging health condition. And through this gesture, we hope to share the joy of the season and show our deep appreciation to those who matter to our children.

• Foster community building. Strengthen the bond between students, parents, families and LAI staff

• Awareness. Students will learn the importance of showing gratitude to those who support them, see how their actions can positively impact the community, recognise the value of efforts, and develop a sense of responsibility and pride in contributing to a meaningful cause

• Promote physical fitness. Encourage regular exercise among students and families.
